The Premier League New Boys
It's a routine every season.Someone goes down, someone goes up.
Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion already promoted earlier and now, Blackpool pulled off a miracle to join them in Premier League.
Blackpoll Rock: Brett Ormerod (C) and his team-mates toast their promotion at Wembley StadiumWell, it would be fun to try out Blackpool when Football Manager 2011 out especially when the club last played in the top flight in 1971.

Best Game? Worst Game of the season?
The season ended and now the team is in Premier League but I would like to share the best/worst game of the season in my previous season.
Our run in League cup was nothing but incredible.Let us refresh the memories.
We started the unbelievable run in League Cup by beating Villa at their own turf before beating Birmingham and met one of the Big Four, Arsenal.
Another surprising victory ensured the team to proceed to Semi Final of League Cup which the team had to play against another big four, Man United.
In the 1st leg , at Loftus Road, the team managed to lead 2-0 up at HT before conceding 2 goals in 2nd half and Camara scored a crucial penalty to beat Man Utd 3-2.The Best Game?Nah..Nope.
In the 2nd Leg, the team had to play away at Old Trafford with a one-goal-lead advantage.
At Half Time, Man Utd had a healthy 3-0 lead which means the total aggregate was already 3-5.
Entering 2nd half, by 64minutes, Berbatov scored another goal to make it 4-0.The team will have to score at least 3 goals to enter extra time.Mission Impossible.
But 16minutes of magical football put the team into extra time.
Rowlands scored a penalty before Camara slotted in a goal.Salvio, desperately show how well he is, scored the vital goal in stoppage time to push the team into extra time.
But good time are usually short and we had a humilating result after that.
They scored another 5 in extra time.
Full Time
Manchester United 9-3 Queens Park Rangers.
Agg: 11-6
United proceed to League Cup final.
So, tell me, is this the Best Game of the season or the Worst Game of the season? I can't really tell. *winks*

The Q.P.R Story -Quick Summary
November -December
Enters November.The 1st thing I did was to sign another free transfer to boost the attacking force.
Henri Camara agreed to join but due to unknown reason, despite the fact that he is out of contract, he can only join the club on 1.1.2010
The November was a mixed month for the team.However there is one player deserved to be praised for his outstanding form he was in.
The man to watch - Ákos Buzsáky
Buzsaky continued his form from October and made an incredible 4 goals in 4 matches , added up another 2 assists in these four games.
By the end of November, the team is sitting at the top of table, having played a game more than the rest of the title contenders.Pretty surprising as I had never expected that much.
Deducting the 3 points would mean, the team were most likely sitting at #2 in the league table.
December was a busy month with the team playing 6 matches in just 4 weeks.Due to the thin depth of squad and fatigue problem, the team had one of the worst month under my management.
December ended with 3 draws, 1 defeat and only 2 victories.The team slipped to 4th on the league table.
January- End Of Season
The bad form carried on into January as the team lose the 1st game of the month against Plymouth.
To add salt to injury, Peter Ramage was injured and...
the most reliable center back of the team, Otamendi scored an own goal to give away 3 points to Plymouth. "Thank You very much" said Plymouth.
I decided to take things more seriously by fining those who perform below par lately and it worked wonders.We managed to take 9 out of 9 points from the remaining matches in January and another surprise came in.
Believe it or not, I won yet another Manager of the Month award.I would never expect this after losing one of the matches in the month.This is the 1st time I saw a manager winning the monthly award despite losing a match.Unbelievable because that would mean other big clubs in the same league were suffering bad forms and had lose at least 1-2 matches in the month.
The following months were outstanding as the team only lose 1 match and draw 1 match from 12 matches.
For the impressive results they get,
I get another 2 Manager of the Month awards.
That makes me taking the award, 3 months in a row.My 1st time of getting an award 3 times in a row after all these years of playing Football manager.
Salvio claimed his 1st Player of the Month award, beating his own teammate Akos Buzsaky who was 2nd for the award.
At the end of the season, before the 46th game, the team already won the league.
Take a deep look at the table and you will notice that we are quite lucky to win the Championship.We drawn as much as 12 matches and lost 5 in 44 matches. We won it because other big teams keep slipping up with almost all of them losing at least 10 matches.Some of them even get 10 drawn game.
Lucky us they keep slipping up.But we won and only that matters.
Amazingly,the board were delighted at "unexpected" promotion but wasn't that the season expectation since August?
They must be taking my words lightly.How dare you!

Early Christmas Present
October didn't start as well as I thought it would be.The bad run continue with a draw away from home against Swansea, a team we should be able to beat.Bored draw it was, with no goals, injury or cards.Everyone seems to be passing the ball around, waiting for the 90minutes to come and the signal of referee blowing the whistle for the game to end.
The next game was a home game against Preston.
In the last post, I did mention about the bad home form the squad was in.Because of that, I had an uneasy feeling going into the match and decided to make a twist in formation by playing 3 forwards with Jay Simpson, Salvio and Helguson all starting upfront.
It was a bold move, a successful one nonetheless as two of the strikers scored and Salvio set up one of the goal.Cerny could have won the team another clean sheet before Chris Sedgwick scored a rebound goal.
The bad news for the next few games were the team failed to keep clean sheet yet again. 4 games in a row, the team had conceded a goal.
The good news , however, was we managed to get 9 points out of the next 3 games.
Call it coincidence, it's 4 league games in a row(including the game against Preston), we are winning with the same scoreline - 2 -1. A win is a win, I will take it any day.
Before the match of Leicester was a game in League cup against the Premier League team, Birmingham City.I have no high hope in winning this but I tried my best by putting in the best team I had and removed those with bad form, replacing them with those in form players.
We won the game.But the truth is, we were a bit lucky in that match.
According to the match stats, they had more possession than my team did.However, due to the fact that their strikers were not in form, they only had 2 shots on target.Lucky us. Haha.
Not only more possession, they also had more shots than my team did but what makes difference here was the fact that all our shots are on target with only 3 getting blocked out by their defenders.
At the end of the day, QUALITY of possession and shots beats QUANTITY.
Summary Of October
In October, the team managed to snatch 4 wins and had only one game draw.
The most impressive player in this month was the long shot specialist of the team, Buzsaky.
He scored an impressive 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 matches.He made a huge impact.
On a side note, did Christmas come earlier this season?
I won the Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month award despite not winning all of the matches.Feeling curious, I went on to check only to find out that Middlesbrough, West Brom and Newcastle United all slipped up and lose 1 match out of the five matches played.Thanks to that I got the award.
I can't wait for the next transfer window to come because I need more strike force!

Mixed Start For League Run
The season kicked off on 8 August.
The 1st match for Q.P.R will be against Blackpool.Unfortunately, the defeat against Stoke previously seems to be having a negative impact on the team.The team failed to score any goals and it ended as a bored draw.
The second match was disastrous.Against Plymouth, the team conceded a goal as early as 8minutes into the game.The strikers, again, failed to find the net and it's 2nd game in a row my team failed to score a goal.
The 3rd match was against one of the bookie's favourite for promotion and league winner, Bristol City.Before the match, I'm already preparing to lose. I tried out a new tactic but still sticking with the 4-4-2 formation I used before.
To my surprise,we won the game.Thanks to Rowlands' penalty and the team played well to hold the lead until final minutes.Winning against one of the favourite for promotion at their own turf is really unexpected after all the bookies only predicted us to be around 10th when the league ends.I was actually preparing to lose it since we had 2 bad games earlier.
Another victory against Nott Forest sent the team to 9th in the league and Salvio finally opened his account for Q.P.R by scoring a goal and setting up an assist for Helguson.
The final game in August against Scunthorpe ended up with a draw and the team dropped to 11th in league.
Enter September and here it is the International break that allows the team to rest and prepare for their 1st battle in September on the 12th against Peterborough.
The team failed to score yet again.We were the favourite the win the match and were leading until 90minutes but in the end, we made a mistake and lose 2 points before the referee blew the whistle.
Ben Watson got himself sent off at 92minutes and Peterborough took the advantage and scored a late goal to deny us a win.2 points loss rather than 1 point gained.
The following weeks, we drew against Crystal Palace at home, beaten Cardiff away and drew again at home against Barnsley.
The final match of the month was an important one because it's against one of the favourite for promotion, Newcastle United .Most importantly, we were playing away- at St James Park.
I made a little change on the 4-2-2.(yes, it's 4-2-2.I have no idea why they displayed it as 4-3-3)Jay Simpson who previously, played on AMR switched his position with Salvio and started upfront, partnering Pellicori with Helguson the regular starter and vice captain of the team out for injury.
A big surprise yet again.We managed to beat the favourite at their own turf once more.I can't stop smiling when I see Simpson on the scoresheet.I made the right choice when I put him in front and moved Salvio to the right.
September ends with 3 draws and 2 victories.
Now, my team sits firmly on 6th.In terms of points, we are not far away from the rest.Promotion will be possible if we can maintain the current form and further improve it.
I'm starting to wondering about the jinx at the home pitch. Drew 5 matches and won 1? It must be a jinx!Did the supporters cursed the players?I wonder...
Next month will be a tough month. Preston, Reading wont be easy opponents.And Birmingham for League Cup? God save me :(

Having undecided for long enough, I let the game to decide for me by clicking the random pick button and I get

I set the target of the club to getting promotion. For that, I get 7.5m for my transfer kitty.
Finger crossed I can get it right cos I wouldn't want to be sacked in my 1st job. :P
