Show Your Authority As Manager

Do players obey you? Do they even respect you? Do they have doubts about your managerial skill?Well, afraid them no more and show them who is the boss around.

It happens to me when I fined a player and he,despite playing badly, said the fine was harsh.

Never in my game, I have my team losing to team fighting to avoid relegation in a big margin of scoreline.

I had one now.My team lose 4-0 against Wolves in League Cup!!!They beat the shit out of us and the worst player on pitch was Matic.

Rating of 4.5 out of 10.Stunning and surprising performance.

Then, he came out saying he is SHOCKED to be handed an official warning despite playing badly.

What's so shocking about the fine when you played badly?

I don't have much patience for him and transfer listed him straightaway.

Good that,NAC Breda actually came in with a bid of 7.5m for him...So, Matic played his last game against Wolves and bid farewell with the supporters.

Thank you very much for the money and bye bye!

So guys, if you have encounter something like this, don't hold back.Sell them out, get someone better in.Show them who's the boss!

Hunting For Bargains- The Free Deals

I think I'm crazy in some sense.I love bargains. I love cheap stuffs.Worse still, I love free stuffs. So, in FM 2010, I tried my best to hunt for contract-expiring players in order to persuade them to join my team for free in the summer.

They say you pay peanuts you get monkeys. You pay for what you get.So, these free players certainly not good enough which is why their clubs are letting them go for free but after what happened to my signing of Baros, I think that's rubbish.Baros, a free signing I made was an instant success and is a huge success...One nobody will ever forget. He bangs in goals like some goal scoring machine.

Thus, I made a huge list of free signings, in an effort to find another Milan Baros.

I signed eleven free players this season.Yea, I know what's on your mind now.You must be thinking I'm crazy.Well, never try never know.Let's see what happen next.

I have high expectations for players like Matic, N'Gog,Dia and Makoun.

My Q.P.R Spending Spree

Sorry for not keeping you guys updated with my QPR story...My bad for keeping you guys waiting.Anyway, here's the continuation of my Q.P.R story.

Last post, I was talking about buying Italian playmaker, Alberto Aquilani. He was the second signing after I splashed 25m on Sakho.

Now, I spent another 25.5m on another bright star.

Exactly what I need on the left side...Pace, power, trickery and skills...

Just in case you guys didn't know, he already scored one goal in friendly.Hopefully, he will gel well with the team and won't turn out as a flop.

Wondering if he can turn out as another little Messi in my team. *grinning*

FM 2010 :Jermain Defoe

Jermain Defoe, definitely one of the best striker in Premier League.

Based on my save game, he had 3 impressive seasons with Spurs. In his 1st season, he single-handed pushed Spurs into top4. In his 3rd season, with him banging goals for fun, Spurs are standing firmly on 2nd in league standing.

This is his stats for all 3 seasons in my game based on Patch 10.3.

*****CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE*****

First Season:

He started 39 games and scored 35 goals. 28 goals came from league games and 7 from cups.Another 13 assists in league.

Total contribution for 1st season: 35 goals, 13 assist, 8 MOM.

Second Season:

In his second season, he played as much as 42 games and scored 29 goals and had a hand in another 14 goals scored by his teammates.

Third Season:

The season is still running...7 league games more but Defoe already scored 29 games. As if that's not enough, he also provided 13 goals...Another season where he scored 20 league goals. No wonder Spurs are standing firm at 2nd spot in league table...

Past Injuries Record:

Impressive fitness. The longest period he ever sidelined is 11 days. That's why in all 3 seasons, he played as much as 42 games,45 games...

FM Freak Kid Scout Report Conclusion:
In my save game,he is almost unstoppable...Great finishing...Stats might not be flowery like Crouch, Wayne Rooney but he is definitely around their level...if not better....

From my pov, these are the pros and cons of signing him.

Pros:
-Home Grown(nation)
-Consistent
-Great provider
-No problem in adapting for any team in Premier League
-Payable wage...(Wage stands around 50k+ for now in my game)
-Discipline player. Zero red cards in my game and less than 10 yellow throughout his 3 seasons.
-Fit and not injury-prone.

Cons:
-Won't come cheaply.English players are usually overpriced.
-Height is a concern...

4 /5 stars

FM 2010 Goal Machine

Proudly present you...

Artem Milevskiy...

He is a goal machine that can adapts the lifestyle in England with no problem!

I bought him in my 1st season for 4.2m pound sterling. Now, in 75% of my 3rd season...

First Season:

In his 1st season, he scored 20 goals and provided as much as 9 assists. For a foreigner, his performance is impressive.Adding to the above, for as little as 4.2m, he is really a bargain signing.

Second Season:

In his second season, he didn't reach the 20 goals expectation but still managed to scored 17 goals and had a hand on another 11 goals scored by his teammates.

Third Season:

The season is yet to finish but he already notched up 20 goals and another 10 assists...

Past Injuries Record:

Not that injury-prone if you ask me...The longest period he sidelined was 6 weeks and that was quite ok.Not very long and I would say he is rather fit in my game...

FM Freak Kid Scout Report Conclusion:
Based on my save game, he is fairly skillful...His stats might not be as great as those of Carlos Tevez or Wayne Rooney but he certainly know where and how to put the ball into the net.Great for any team in Premier League.Certainly worth more than the 4.2m I paid for him. Currently, estimated value at 7.5m pound steering.

His name is kinda confusing with FM stating him as MilevskYI while wiki and others refer him as MilevskIY.

Anyway, my scouting rate

Adaptability: 9/10
Finishing: 8/10
Injury-proneness: 3/10

and recommendation rate as follow:

4 /5 stars

Raid Spain For Gems

The likes of Casillas, Xavi, Andrés Iniesta ,Carles Puyol, Raul and others all come from their club academy.

Even Fabregas is from barca academy...

This only proves that Spanish clubs have better academy that keep producing world class, quality players from their academy...

So, why not raid them in our games?

Let's not forget the rules allow us to raid them with no problem...except that we have to pay compensation fee.

Normally, the compensation fee are peanuts. You get back more than what you paid as the players grow and improve further....

My latest raid is one quality teen from Barcelona. It's a regen obviously but that doesn't matter now, does it?

**************CLICK TO ENLARGE IMAGE****************

He is only 18 but his skills are so much better than those older than him...

18 Finishing... 18 Free kick taking... 17 heading....

Well, if someone noticed, I paid him 67k per week for wage.Overpaid? Maybe...but that's the only way of bringing him in since he loves Barcelona FC that much that he refuse to join me at 1st until I tempt him with money...

Favoured club - Barcelona...

Beside high wages, I also have to offer him key player status in squad...

I sound crazy but I guess my crazy act paid off...

He scored 5, assisted another 4 goals in his 7 starts and 3 subs appearances...

So guys, what are you waiting for? Start raiding :P

Splashing The Cash!

I wonder if you read this post of mine last month. If you haven't , you should do it now simply by clicking HERE.

Apparently, last month, I was moaning about not having adequate wage cap that caused me missing out quality signings like Sakho

and Kroos.A season later, I made him my 1st signing of the season(as in the first signing where I splash the cash) by splashing as much as 25m pound on him!

2 times the money Palermo paid PSG to buy him!

His stats are as impressive as always!

Now, in my game, he is only 24 years old.Given how CB tend to be able to play until 35 or more, Sakho will have at least another 11-13 years of playing time. 25m probably is a bargain if he can gel well with his defensive partner, Otamendi.

Just in case you guys don't remember, I also signed another 2 french players on Free which I mentioned in my last few post.I'm trying to build a Le France club :P Hahaha! Meanwhile, guys, let me know what do you think about these 3 signings so far!

Pre Season Friendly And Signings

In my last post, Anonymous asked for preseason report. So, this post will be talking about my preseason activity. Do take note that the title of the post incidate it's pre season friendly and not friendlies. I have no idea why but my assistant manager canceled out all preseason friendlies except one.Maybe, he is resting players for Community Shield...Maybe...

Meanwhile, let's put the preseason friendly aside and talk about 2 signings I made because one of them happened to be the Man Of The Match for the friendly match!

Encouraged by the fact that free signings can make a big impact, an example of Milan Baros, I decided to try out another few free signings. Two free signings...

Coincidentally, these 2 players happen to be french players. Haha...Am I'm trying to build a team of Le France? The answer is..Nope!It's mere coincidence!

The first french player is...

David N'Gog

*Too see his stats ,click to enlarge*
This former Liverpool Football Club player happened to have his contract expired in the summer with PSG reluctant to offer him a new one.So, I jumped in and offered him a contract.

Straight after he joined us, his estimated value increased to 6m pound! If he cant make any impact, I will sell him cheap... Even 3-4m is a profit for me. Heh!

2nd player I signed is Mathieu Valbuena. Also on free...

*Too see his stats ,click to enlarge*
Actually, I signed him as a companion for french players I'm trying to sign like Ribery, Sakho and others.

Now that, I have N'Gog in the house, he will serve as a good companion for N'Gog and can acts as a backup player for Salvio.I'm kinda short of AMR anyway. ;)

Back to preseason friendly...

Our only Friendly opponent is FC Lorient.

Like I mentioned earlier, one of these free signings turned out to be man of the match.

N'Gog managed to score 2 in 3 minutes.Another Baros in the making? Lol.Both happen to be former Liverpool former. Is that mere coincidence or former Liverpool flops forward have what it needs to do well in my club? Maybe I should try signing Djibril Cisse, Emile Heskey, Craig Bellamy, Robbie Keane and few others. :P

Francesco Totti

I was browsing for players to be bought for my new season and found Totti by accident.

His stats are impressive as always.I actually feel tempted to buy him but the problems are

1. In my game, he is now 37 and 38 in few months.
2. As a result of his advancing age, his pace and stamina left 1 respectively.
3.When I clicked Personal in his profile page, it states he wants to see out his career with Roma.

His stats as follow. The whole screenshot is too big and the fonts are too small. So, click to enlarge so that you can view it better and clearer.

I have always been a fans of Totti. One of my favourite goal celebrations from Totti gotta be the tribute to his then-pregnant wife,Ilary Blasi where Totti imitated a childbirth scene by stuffing the ball under his shirt and laying on his back while his teammates extracted the ball.

For those who doesn't know Ilary Blasi...She is the wife of Totti...and this is she...

If I'm not mistaken, the two of them get married on the 19 of June 2005, in a ceremony that was streamed live throughout Italy.

Fantastic player.A living legend.I am thinking about getting him as my coach if he retires at the end of season!

Or maybe...I should try playing AS Roma after I'm done with Q.P.R!

Record Breaker!

Baros is crazily good! This is his second seasons with us and he just can't stop scoring and beating records.

24 league goals by December! Crazy.

Previous record of his in 2011, 23goals in a season. Now, it's only halfway of the season, he already scored more than what he scored last season.Impressive.

9 man of the match! His previous record of 8 came from full season.

Anyway, he just beat Keirrison's record by 5seconds.

He is now the record holder for scoring the fastest goal for Queens Park Rangers.

I wonder what happen if I sign him earlier.Insanely good and getting him on free just make me can't stop smiling!

Still Queens Park Rangers!

Hi guys,I'm still managing Queens Park Rangers. It's my 4th season .Normally, the very 1st thing I do for early season is to sign players to improve the current squad but this time around, I should be signing a new assistant manager to help me out because....

Big clubs keep stealing staffs away from me.Each and every season, I have to replace someone in some area.Damn it.If only our club is bigger and richer(in wage), I'm sure I will be able to keep them in club! Screw those big clubs!

For the start of season expectations, I chose qualifying for continental as our minimum season expectation despite finishing 2nd last season.I'm trying to play safe.

Even for that,we got as much as 27m of transfer budget and as little as 725k in wage.I think as usual, I will spend some money to increase the wage budget.

Back to transfer activity,I sold off Andrea Dossena, Peter Ramage and others simply because they are not good enough to be in the 1st team. They had been blowing cold and hot for sometimes. They just cant play consistently and force me to find replacement to replace them.Sorry and thanks for everything.

In this transfer window, I made as much as 8 transfer.4 of them are hot prospect for the future.

Initially, I signed a wonderkid for left back position.A Regen 17 years old with incredible impressive stats- Sorin Velicu.Due to the fact that he is only 17 and yet to reach 18, he can only join my team in January. That left me no choice but to sign another left back for the time being and I splashes 14million to sign Monzon from FC Lorient.

Here's Monzon's stats.Click to enlarge if you want to see it in a clearer view.

For right back position left behind by Peter Ramage,I signed Rafinha from Schalke. He will fight his right back position with Dan Gosling, the young gems in my team.

Julio Baptista arrived on free to replace the Santa Cruz who just cant score goals for me.Took 2.4m from Burnley and wave my hands , saying goodbye to Santa Cruz.

Kaspars Gorkss was sold off to Reading for 500k and Shawcross arrived from Man Utd for 4m pound.

Other signings like Areola, Derbal,Caldirola and Velicu are hot prospect I signed for reserves :P

For our fixture, we start our season with a trip to White Hart Lane before playing Man Utd at Loftus Road.

But the most important match will be the one on 27th October, vs Chelsea. They are our fierce rivals and of course it will be the most important match for the 1st half of the season.

For preseason friendlies,

The pre season friendlies have been brilliant. We won all the matches.Joe Hart had been impressive, keeping 5 cleansheet in 6 preseason friendlies. Not only that we are able to keep as much as 5 cleansheets, we also won the matches with big score margin.Simply brilliant!

I can't wait to kick start the new season! Til then!
